Printers I’ve used personally

  • Edwards Brothers Malloy printed three books for me, and I’ve been very pleased with their work. My books were all originally printed offset, but they also do high-quality Print on Demand; I wrote a blogpost about my recent experience reprinting Vögelein: Old Ghosts as a POD edition. They have several locations nationwide (my books were printed at the Jackson Road plant in Ann Arbor), so visit their contact page to speak with the office nearest you.
  • Lulu.com is who I use if I need a very short run of prose-only books. I’ve used them several times for things like printing bound scripts for my editors, or printing off manuscripts that I am proofreading. Fast turnaround and good quality for a reasonable price.
  • Ka-Blam is a print-on-demand service that my husband Paul has used for a short run of his newest full-color book. He was impressed by their quality and would recommend them.
